Job Description:
We are seeking applications for the 2025 Department of Health and Aged Care Graduate Program which is run over 10 months, commencing in February. The Graduate Program includes two placements, exposure to a broad range of interesting and challenging work, a range of on-the-job and off-the-job training, opportunities to work alongside, and be mentored by, senior executive officers and an inclusive, flexible, and healthy workplace. These graduate positions are advertised under Affirmative Measures provisions and are only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants. This is a culturally inclusive recruitment process which enables candidates to best demonstrate their capabilities.
Job Requirements:
To be eligible to apply under these provisions, applicants must confirm their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage within three (3) months of commencement with the department.
Suitable evidence of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status may include:
letter signed by the Chairperson of an incorporated Indigenous organisation confirming that the applicant is recognised as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, or
confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent document executed by an Indigenous organisation.
