As a result, they’re currently on the look-out for an experienced, people-focused, Operations Supervisor to join their team in West Melbourne.
Your new role
Along with supporting the wider transport operations team, you’ll be tasked with:
- Managing customer enquiries – updates on expected delivery times, delays, and any other issues
- Data entry for KPI achievement
- Assistance with vehicle route planning
- Regular driver liaison throughout the day
- Daily engagement with the wider team to ensure working order of the fleet
- Closing out of operations for the day
- Reporting of all HR matters to management
- Oversight of OH&S
- Communication to the wider team about daily events and other matters
- Involvement in regular toolbox meetings
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience in working with a large 3PL transport operation
- The willingness and character to connect with the wider business
- Supervisory or team lead experience in an operational environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with various teams
- Strong experience in communicating regularly with drivers
- Excellent time management skills
- An outgoing and consultative nature
