Report to: Procurement Manager

1. Overall purpose of the job:
The Transport Vendor Relations Manager is responsible for managing transportation RFQ responses, supporting the design of commercial transportation solutions for new business opportunities and existing customers, and sourcing competitive rates from transport subcontractors. This role involves researching, negotiating, and organizing contracts with transporters, coordinating transportation services, and overseeing transport activities. The manager must handle multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrating strong negotiation skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth and cost-effective transportation operations.
- Primary responsibilities and outputs:
Transport Solution Design:
Support business growth through transport solution design and the best possible deals.
Good knowledge at design solutions, transport models and services nationwide (Vietnam).
Present solutions for internal stakeholders and external Customers.
Analyze market trends, competitors, activities, and industry developments to identify potential sources of supply and cost savings opportunities.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents related to transportation procurement activities.
Innovative solutions and TMS knowledgeable and management
Transport Procurement:
Develop and implement transportation procurement strategies to ensure efficient and the best cost-effective procurement of transport services.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Develop and implement procedures and systems for the management of transportation procurement activities when required.
Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on matters related to transportation procurement.
Vendor Contract Management:
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws related to transportation procurement activities.
Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor supplier performance and take remedial action when necessary.
Evaluate Tenders, quotations, and proposals submitted by suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
Prepare the transport solutions section of Tender response documents for presentation to customers
Support the optimization and new contracts, renewal contracts.

3. Qualifications/ Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and/or MBA is an advantage.
Professional: around 5 years or more working experience in transport procurement and design solutions.
