The role of aSales Support Assistant Managerinvolves several key responsibilities and opportunities:
Role Brief
Support Sales Initiatives: Optimize the sales process, manage the CRM tool (CW1), and oversee customer and sales reporting.
Lead High-Impact Projects: Drive critical success factors within a professional sales environment.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of sales support executives to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
The Opportunity
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of sales support executives. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide necessary training.
Collaboration: Work with Sales, Commercial, and Business Process teams to implement new and existing sales initiatives.
CRM Data Quality: Advocate for and improve CRM data quality.
Data Analysis: Analyze weekly and monthly sales data (Pipeline, Volumes, GP Return on Cost).
Reporting: Prepare management updates and reports for the Regional Sales Leadership Team.
Sales Support: Assist the sales team with bids, proposals, and ad-hoc requests like sending out quotations.
Key Qualifications for Success
Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a team and inside sales administration. Prior experience in forwarding / forwarding sales support roles is highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics or freight forwarding operations is essential.
Proactivity: Capable of handling internal coordination, client support, and follow-ups with the sales team.
Minimal Travel: Mainly office-based with occasional client visits if needed.
This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of sales support functions, driving sales initiatives, and maintaining high standards of CRM data quality.
