Operations Supervisor PM – Preston, Victoria
The Opportunity
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, we are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Gases Sub-Division of our Resources & Industrials business unit at our Preston facility. The primary purpose of the position is to effectively supervise the compressed distribution function for the Victorian BOC Gas Operation.
Due to an internal movement, this role will be working the PM shift 11AM – 7PM.
As the Operations Supervisor, you will:
Plan and coordinate activities day-to-day/month-to-month to achieve results and standards expected. Set priorities for own work and develop own capability.
Take initiative to identify innovative new methods, processes or systems in the corporate, professional or business area.
Design, develop and implement solutions to key business needs around systems, processes or technologies. Ensure own work and that of other contributors is to the defined standard.
Responsible for day-to-day project work or assignments with direction, review and professional guidance to ensure results deliver overall business benefits.
Read business customer situations accurately. Anticipate their business needs and identify opportunities to significantly enhance the breadth and quality of the corporate or professional service.
Personal leadership of HSE standards, compliance and initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Knowledge of transport industry preferred but not essential.
Basic computer skills and ability to use computerised Transport Management Systems and Microsoft applications.
NHVAS Fatigue, Maintenance Management and Mass knowledge preferred but not essential.
Customer service relations skills- maintain effective working relationship with key customers.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
