We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Regional HSE Advisor to join our security-sensitive logistics and transportation operation in Tomago, NSW. This Major Hazard Facility stores and transports liquid and bulk dangerous goods across the state. As our Regional HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our HSE standards by providing expert advice and technical support to our leadership team and employees. You will conduct thorough inspections, audits, and incident investigations, fostering a positive safety culture among the workforce.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide hands-on Health, Safety, and Environmental support whilst learning all about Major Hazard Facilities and safety cases. It is a true development opportunity to expand your skillset under the guidance of an experienced and knowledgeable leader.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drive HSE culture and continually improve HSE strategy, plan, and performance.
Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards.
Align activities with the Group “One Toll” strategy, fostering a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Translate and implement the Toll HSE strategy.Provide health and safety support to minimize fatalities, injuries, disease, and ill health.Lead organizational change to drive a positive safety culture and achieve HSE objectives and targets.
Provide HSE advice and technical support to the leadership team and employees.
Manage and maintain the HSE risk profile, risk assessment, and risk management processes.
Coach and mentor the workforce to foster a positive safety culture.
Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Toll’s codes of conduct.
Engage with the leadership team to ensure HSE responsibilities and expectations are understood and enacted.
Knowledge/Experience:
2-5 years in an HSE role underpinned by the relevant HSE qualification.
Experience in relationship management with internal clients and external stakeholders.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent working knowledge of HSE.
Experience in HSE systems implementation preferred.
Knowledge of storage or transport of dangerous goods highly desirable.
Technical/Professional Skills:

Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
