Our client, a family-owned group of Australian businesses, specialise in export beef processing, and are leaders in the Australian Beef Industry. With quality and safety at their core, their dedicated team ensures they maintain the highest standards and access to export markets worldwide.
Due to business growth, they are looking for someone to join their dynamic People & Safety team as WHS Coordinator (Night Shift). You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, driving WHS initiatives, and supporting operational teams.
Your new role
- Supervise on-site WHS compliance and implement WHS policies and procedures in conjunction with your Day Shift counterpart.
- Carry out daily floor inspections, observing process and ensuring best practice is being followed.
- Conduct JSAs, SWMS and sit in on daily Toolbox Talks.
- Advise and support production teams on legislative compliance, risk management, and incident management.
- Conduct daily monitoring, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate inductions and deliver WHS training.
- Participate in WHS projects and external audits.
- Shift times – 6:00pm – 2:30am Monday to Friday
What you'll need to succeed
Key Success Factors:
- Hands-on approach with proven experience in WHS systems.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be an autonomous self-starter with a well-developed and mature attitude to safety
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical and relevant vaccinations.
Qualifications:
- WHS Certificate IV (minimum).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a WHS role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in developing and implementing WHS documentation.
- Desirable: Quality Auditing qualification, experience in food or meat processing, and ICAM investigations.
