Operations Supervisor – Richlands, QLD
Toll Group are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor looking for a dynamic and challenging role working alongside a leading beverage supplier. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead and coordinate transport operations across Southeast QLD.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective transportation of customer products while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. You will lead a team, optimise transport logistics, and liaise with key stakeholders to deliver efficient and reliable services.
Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Operations Supervisor –
Oversee transport operations to meet priorities, KPIs, and customer expectations.
Plan and coordinate weekly labour and vehicle requirements based on volume and time constraints.
Liaise with customers to ensure accurate load planning and delivery scheduling.
Supervise daily transport activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to procedures.
Train and mentor staff, promoting a high-performance and safety-focused culture.
Monitor fleet maintenance, scheduling services and ensuring compliance with logbook requirements.
Maintain records and reports, including invoicing, KPIs, and incident reporting.
Ensure adherence to HSE policies, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Investigate service failures, losses, or damages, implementing corrective actions.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Management within the transport sector or willing to learn and push your transport and logistics career forward.
Strong understanding of transport compliance, cost control, and operational efficiencies.
Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to analyse and optimise transport processes for continuous improvement.
Strong leadership skills with experience in training and mentoring teams.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with a proactive, adaptable, and results-driven approach.
