Based in Rockhampton, the Homelessness Coordinator will oversee the organisation’s homelessness programs, ensuring strong service delivery. This role involves leadership, program development, case and workload allocation, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Your new role
Day to day, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining close liaison with key community stakeholders, building relationships to enhance community impact.
- Working with the team to understand the needs and goals of participants and their families, assisting in planning and accessing required support and services.
- Collaborating to improve interventions and ensure services are effective and aligned with community needs.
- Advising and guiding program staff to maintain a sound understanding of each service agreement’s scope and expected outcomes.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of activities and events.
- Ensuring staff are supported through debriefing and planned support discussions.
- Conducting performance, learning, and development reviews for program staff.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Diploma in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a community sector leadership role, including staff management and oversight of community programs.
- A passion and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of Central Queenslanders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and embed solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working within a high-performance framework, accountable for KPIs in a fast-paced, solutions-focused environment.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and influence amongst diverse audiences.
