About the role
Works with the Team Leader - Property Acquisitions to support and provide advice on the acquisition and transfer of property interest in accordance with the Corporation's requirements. Effectively and efficiently protect and maintain Corporation infrastructure and provide strategic input within the land acquisition process.

What you can expect with this role
- Structure contracts protecting the corporation's interests, limiting liability and administer transactions through to settlement for the acquisition and transfer of property.
- Responsible for ensuring that all factors are considered in the acquisition process in relation to environmental and indigenous issues including contaminated sites, flora, fauna, wetlands, Native Title, Heritage matters.
- Administer transactions with regards to the registration, surrender or withdrawal of encumbrances:
- Easements, Caveats & Restrictive Covenants
- Co-ordinate and manage dealings with DPLH, DWER, DBCA and other Government Agencies in the acquisition and transfer of property interests from Crown Land.
- Lead negotiations directly with landowners to acquire property for assigned capital projects in accordance with the Corporation’s requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring negotiation and settlement of claims for compensation.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Has the ability to undertake travel within the State in accordance with business needs.
- Experience in the acquisition of land and the compensation process.
- Experience in Land conveyancing, purchase contracts, land valuation, relevant legislation, and its interpretation.
- Considerable experience in the high-level negotiation of property transactions.
- Ability to establish and foster strong working relationships across managers, employees and stakeholders.
- Communicates effectively using a broad range of communication methods and exercises advanced interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
