We have exciting opportunities for values-driven and proactive Casual AOD Support Workers to provide supervision, support, and crisis intervention.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Support Worker to play a pivotal role in providing advocacy and support to women and children. You will engage with vulnerable members of society by offering support, and crisis intervention sit with them in their time of need and be the reason for hope, whilst this role will have very real challenges, it is also very rewarding.
Reporting to the Support work Co-ordinator this is a Casual role, located in Preston, Victoria.
Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 4.
You will Successfully
Create a safe, supportive environment by monitoring participant dynamics, responding to crises, and ensuring all safety and wellbeing protocols are followed.
Be a trusted guide—welcome new participants with care, support daily routines, assist with medications, and help develop essential living skills.
Foster connection and growth through group activities, social outings, and creative programs that inspire healing and community.
Support with heart and purpose, managing behaviour with compassion, responding to concerns, and ensuring all incidents are reported and handled professionally.
Keep the engine running smoothly by maintaining clear communication, completing admin tasks, and contributing to a collaborative, values-driven team.
You will have
A willingness to undergo a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
A current First Aid certificate.
A current Victorian driver’s license.
