About the Role:
We are seeking an Internal Auditor for a Full Time Permanent placement based in THQ Blackburn.
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Manager – Internal Audit the role will be responsible for supporting the Internal Audit function in the provision of independent, objective and high-quality assurance, advice and insight. You will be required to prepare, plan, conduct and report on a diverse range of internal audit review assignments covering all Salvation Army operations across Australia, as part of a team and/or individually – contributing to the delivery of the annual internal audit plan.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
End to End delivery of internal audit reviews across the organisation, including specifically requested ad hoc reviews.
Planning and developing risk-based audit test plans/work programs, fieldwork, reporting and follow up for each engagement.
Preparing high quality, concise and informative audit reports that effectively communicate well documented audit findings and recommendations.
Review, monitor and confirm action plans submitted by management to address audit findings raised.
Engage with Stakeholders at every level to ensure understanding and support for the Internal Audit process and in delivering high quality audit reviews.
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the Audit team members, and broader management.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics or another related field.
Post Graduate qualification in a related discipline such as CA, CPA, IIA.
At least 3 years recent experience in internal audit or external audit.
Proven stakeholder management skills with exceptional verbal and written communication.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to think holistically and strategically.
Excellent time management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and quickly come to grips with new areas
