We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Aged Care senior leadership team as a Regional Operations Manager. In this permanent full time role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a portfolio of Residential Aged Care Centres, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents.
About the Role
This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality care for residents while supporting teams to achieve excellence in service delivery. We are seeking an experienced leader, with strong background within aged care, managing regional and/or multi-site roles. You will have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. You will be passionate about continuous improvement, fostering the delivery of TSA mission and our person centred model of care, whilst ensuring resources are utilised effectively and efficiently.
Reporting to the very experienced General Manager – Residential Aged Care, this role offers you the chance to:
- Lead, coach, and mentor Centre Managers to deliver operational excellence and mission-aligned care.
- Build high-performing leadership teams with the capacity and confidence to drive local outcomes.
- Set clear performance expectations and drive a culture of accountability, recognition, and support.
- Foster strong, respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service outcomes.
- Ensure all centres meet or exceed compliance with relevant legislation, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Drive occupancy outcomes by supporting Centre Managers to maintain a balanced and sustainable resident mix.
- Lead budgeting processes, monitor financial performance, and implement operational strategies to meet targets.
- Oversee and support Centre Managers in managing complex complaints and concerns, ensuring serious matters are escalated appropriately and resolved in line with legislation, policy, and resident rights.
- Ensure Centre Managers are supported by internal teams (e.g. Human Resources, Finance, Property, Care Quality Compliance) by coordinating access, aligning priorities, and escalating where required to remove barriers to performance.
- Provide leadership in work health and safety (WHS) by ensuring systems, culture, and capability are in place across sites to prevent harm, respond to incidents, and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Champion workforce wellbeing and sustainability, supporting Centre Managers to create inclusive, supportive environments where staff feel safe, valued, and equipped to deliver high-quality care.
About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (Essential).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, health management, business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in leading multiple residential aged care or health service sites, with accountability for clinical care, workforce leadership, compliance, and financial performance.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality systems, and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- In-depth knowledge of the AN-ACC funding model and its operational implications.
- Proven ability to coach and develop senior clinical and operational leaders.
- Experience in managing budgets, analysing performance data, and driving service improvement.
- Sound knowledge of work health and safety (WHS) responsibilities and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Postgraduate qualifications in management, leadership, or gerontology (desirable).
