Ventia requires a highly organised and proactive Scheduler to join our Defence contract team based in Singleton, NSW. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the effective planning and execution of maintenance activities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will work alongside the Technical Supervisor and report directly to the Site Supervisor.
As Scheduler, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing work orders—such as those related to vehicle maintenance—ensuring they are within capacity, and then coordinating schedules including start/finish dates and resource allocation. You will work closely with our Defence client and internal teams to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Schedule network maintenance activities and programs.
- Use the Commonwealth-mandated information system (e.g., MILIS or SAP) for work order management, scheduling, parts requisition and inventory.
- Liaise with JLU (Joint Logistics Unit) customers to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance requirements.
- Provide accurate documentation and facilitate claim processes via mandatory reporting systems.
- Attend and lead production scheduling meetings.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and process non-conformances.
- Support the team as a first aid officer, safety representative, or member of improvement teams as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Australian Citizenship is required due to eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1).
- Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling within a maintenance or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of customer service expectations in a technical or Defence context.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with trade staff, manage parts logistics, and align resources.
- Excellent communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and Commonwealth systems such as MILIS or SAP.
- Relevant qualifications in scheduling or logistics (desirable but not essential).
