The Opportunity
Reporting to the Business Development Manager and Head of Strategy & Business Development, this role leads cross-functional strategic projects within the Communities portfolio. The Business Development Hub is like an in-house consulting team that coordinates and supports teams to improve the delivery of impactful, people-centred services across NSW and the ACT. Based in North Parramatta, you'll work in a hybrid model—minimum 3 days onsite, with flexibility for remote work. Occasional travel to our Sydney CBD office may be required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end project delivery aligned to Uniting’s strategic priorities from identifying new business opportunities, tender responses to implementation of new services
- Define scope, objectives, success measures, and benefit realisation with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple teams and functions.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and operational leads, frontline staff, SMEs, and external partners.
- Apply Agile/hybrid methods to ensure outcomes are timely, scalable, and sustainable whether standing up a new mental health service or upgrading internal reporting tools.
- Ensure alignment with organisational governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
- Provide regular reporting and contribute to post-implementation reviews and learnings.
- Coach and support teams across the Communities portfolio to lift project delivery capability and confidence.
- Tailor project delivery approaches depending on project scale, complexity, and team needs, using agile, hybrid, or traditional methods as appropriate.

You’re a results-driven Project Lead who thrives on solving complex problems, having multiple projects on the go, and building strong collaborative relationships. You bring both structure and adaptability to your work, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience delivering projects that requires the input from multi-functional teams.
- Background in consulting, NFP, Government or Community Services (desirable).
- Practical experience with Agile, hybrid or iterative delivery models.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to lead project teams and influence outcomes in matrixed settings.
- Strong understanding of project governance, delivery frameworks and change management.
- Experience coaching or enabling others to adopt tools, templates, and improve delivery practices.
