About the role
Our Thrift Store Managers efficiently and effectively manage all aspects of one retail site to maximise sales and profitability. We’re looking for a talented leader who loves retail, loves a challenge, and loves waking up each day with a passion for making a difference. Take ultimate accountability to drive and lead growth whilst providing an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. You will be a high energy, hands-on individual and will bring your proven track record in providing extraordinary customer service.
This is a Permanent Part-Time position, located in Bendigo, Victoria
Compensation is in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 6.
You will successfully
- Lead, grow and develop a team of paid employees and volunteers;
- Ensure extraordinary customer service is provided every day, in every interaction;
- Champion exceptional operational and visual merchandise standards;
- Role-model a ‘safety first’ culture in our stores;
- Plan and manage the financial performance of the store;
- Build and support the volunteer workforce and engage with the local community.
You will have
- Demonstrated relevant retail industry experience as a store manager with specific experience in leading effective teams, cash handling, financial management and store operations.
- A certificate in qualification in Retail or Business (Desirable)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Solid technical skills and experience using Workday HCM system experience (Desirable).
- A current First Aid Certificate or the willingness to obtain one.
- Reasonable physical fitness with the ability to: safely sit, stand, walk regularly for long periods of time; push, pull, lift, carry items up to 10 kilos in weight and climb ladders.
- The willingness to undergo a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
