The Team UGL's Utilities Division is seeking an experienced and motivated Proposals Manager to join the pre-contracts team. Within this role you will work across the power and water infrastructure sectors. You will be responsible for proactively managing and submitting high-quality proposals for our major project utilities tenders. What will a day in this role look like: Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, The Proposals Manager is responsible for the implementation, managing and monitoring of the tendering process for new business opportunities within the Utilities Business delivering high quality tender outputs which aligns with UGL Utilities business strategy. The role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane. Some of the key responsibilities include: - Formal qualifications in engineering, business or project management with experience in tendering, business development, procurement, estimating, risk and project controls - Strong knowledge of power, water and the energy sectors or the proven ability to rapidly learn new sectors. - Coordinate with various internal departments such as engineering, estimators, legal, quality assurance and operations. - Exceptional influencing and communication skills including demonstrated proposal writing expertise, facilitation and presentations. - Acute awareness of market influences and how to strategically respond when tendering, which includes macro-economic, social and geopolitical risk. - Manage the proposal process from kickoff to submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
