We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking
Regional Waste Management Coordinator to lead the delivery of our Regional Waste Strategy and spearhead collaborative waste and circular economy initiatives across our member councils.
About the Role
This is your chance to:
- Drive regional initiatives that recover resources, protect the environment, and promote circular economy principles.
- Contribute to the delivery of the NSW Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041 and its targets.
- Build partnerships between councils, the EPA, and industry to shape sustainable waste solutions.
- Influence Federal, State and regional waste policies and programs.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualifications and/or minimum 3 years’ experience in the waste and resource management sector
- Proven success in relationship building, negotiation, and cross-organisational collaboration.
- Deep understanding of NSW and local government waste management policies and practices.
- Strong project management expertise with a focus on evidence-based policy development.
- Experience preparing detailed reports, submissions, and funding applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and contract management processes.

Annual salary up to
$145,000 + superannuation, (dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate).
