HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the~ 143 km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.5bn, includes delivery of new 500Kv double circuit transmission lines spanning ~143 kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity We are looking for Labourer’s to join the HumeLink West JV project team in Wagga Wagga and the Riverina Region. There are roles available in the Civil, Substations and Logistics teams. - Demonstrated experience in a similar environment - Knowledge and experience in construction, transmission or Oil and Gas - Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site. - Able to work autonomously and as part of a team About You - Construction White Card - required - Driver’s licence (HR Licence) - Work Safely at Heights - desirable - High Risk Work Licence - WP (Work Platform) - desirable - Construction experience - desirable - Heavy industry experience - desirable - Excavator ticket / Skid Steer Ticket Trade Qualification - desirable The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
