About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide effective leadership and manage the operation and service delivery of the team, to fulfil the Asset Custodian role for public infrastructure. The Coordinator Asset Systems is responsible for providing advice regarding industry standards and applicable legislation to implement quality asset management solutions and maximise Council’s assets investment. The ideal candidate will be a proficient communicator with the ability to effectively articulate concepts and tailor communication for a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in the management of assigned asset management projects in line with applicable legislation, Council policy and strategies.
- Provide data and system support to assist with the preparation of asset management strategies and plans.
- Oversight and monitor end-to-end project activities, including project governance, to achieve clear and transparent project plan outcomes and requirements within agreed scope.
- Engage with stakeholders and external providers and consultants to develop and agree project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain corporate applications and systems to enable the accurate administration and reporting of Council’s infrastructure assets.
- Oversee the review of issues and assess appropriateness of proposals, including for difficult and challenging sites and complex matters, against accepted standards to ensure compliance.
- Audit, monitor and assess asset condition to ensure business requirements are met in accordance with applicable legislation, and compliance, asset and risk management frameworks.
- Manage the appropriate capture of assets into the corporate enterprise asset management system to ensure handover requirements are met.
- Provide expert evidence in claims and legal proceedings relating to infrastructure projects.
- Provide accurate advice, analysis and reporting to Council stakeholders to inform unit performance, to identify, assess and address risks and to facilitate decision making.
About you
We are looking for an industrious individual with the following:
- A relevant degree which satisfies eligibility requirements for professional membership of the Institution of Engineers (Australia); Australian Institute of Landscape Architects; or Australian Institute of Architects or equivalent professional association.
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C.

Salary Range: $155, 541.29 - $174, 206.38 per annum plus 12% superannuation
