About the Role
As the Regional Manager HSE, you will be responsible for implementing and enhancing Toll’s HSE strategy, culture, and performance across SA. You’ll provide practical HSE advice, lead initiatives that improve safety outcomes, and support operational excellence aligned with our ‘One Toll’ values.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of HSE strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support and coach HSE team members across SA
- Ensure compliance with Toll HSE standards and legislative requirements
- Develop and review site-specific HSE plans and risk registers
- Conduct incident investigations and trend analysis
- Deliver HSE training and facilitate emergency preparedness activities
- Act as TRAC Super User and support system training and reporting
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customer HSE forums
- Participate in audits and support corrective action planning
- Provide HSE input into bids, tenders, and business continuity planning
What You’ll Bring
Experience & Knowledge:
- 5–7 years’ experience in HSE roles, ideally within warehousing and logistics
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation and industry standards
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and third-party audits
Skills:
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in HSE (highly desirable)
- Certificate IV in Environmental Management (desirable)
- Dangerous Goods training and Internal Auditor qualifications (desirable)
