About the Role
Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, this might be the place for you. Reporting to the Coordinator Building Services, you'll be part of a vibrant, close-knit team making a real impact in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess building applications across all classifications
- Ensure compliance with BCA, state legislation & local policies
- Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Investigate building compliance issues
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
What You'll bring:
We're looking for someone who is:
- Registered Level 1 or 2 Building Surveyor (or undertaking study to become registered)
- Experience with state building legislation, BCA and other relevant requirements.
- The ability to mentor and coach other team members.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, and an ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- The ability to work in a small but vibrant team environment.
- Experience in the use multiple software platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to providing high level of internal and external customer service.
