In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
- Customer Service & Correspondence: Act as the first point of contact for Community Safety enquiries, manage routine correspondence, and ensure accurate registration and response to service requests.
- Compliance & Enforcement Support: Administer infringement processes including reminders, court lodgements, and waiver reviews; assist with legal documentation and impound register management.
- Records & Reporting: Maintain databases, files, and records in line with Shire procedures; prepare statistical reports and support budget administration.
- Operational & Meeting Support: Coordinate meetings, agendas, advertisements, requisitions, and officer schedules; assist with policy research, local law processes, and Councillor requests.
Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and skillset:
- Relevant Experience & Initiative: Extensive practical experience in local government or law enforcement, with a proven ability to manage and complete projects independently.
- Technical & Administrative Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in implementing procedures, managing records, and administering enforcement systems like the Fines Enforcement Registry.
- Communication & Customer Service: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Organisation & Time Management: Excellent organisational skills, time management, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
