LIBRARY TECHNICAL SERVICES OFFICER SconePermanent Part-Time (28 hours per week) The role: This role will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our libraries technical services and training staff and customers in the use of new technologies and upgrades. They will also develop and support innovative technologies across our Upper Hunter Shire Libraries. General library duties, customer service, acquisitions and cataloguing resources will also be a critical component of the position. What’s on offer: - $1213.90 to $1359.60 per 35 hour week + 12% super and the opportunity for salary progression - 20 days paid annual leave every year, generous sick leave entitlements and access to flexi-time system - Access to training and development opportunities - Access to long service leave after 5 years of continuous service - Salary sacrifice options - Generous uniform allowance - Flexible work arrangements and reward program What we need from you: Our ideal candidate will hold a Diploma of Library and Information Services (Library Technical Studies) or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association), as well as have experience in a similar role. The ability to develop and deliver small scale technology projects in the Libraries (such as Virtual reality, Robotics and 3D printers) is also essential, as is having experience in the use of an Integrated Library Management System (for example Aurora).
