The Opportunity
Working as
part of the Integrated Planning team, the Graduate Strategic Planner is a
full-time, entry-level position that will support to provide strategic input and planning project assistance across a range
of disciplines including city planning, liveability, integrated transport and
open space provision.
Key activities of
this role include:
- Collaborate with internal and external
stakeholders to enhance City Planning and liveability.
- Contribute to Manningham’s strategic planning
and project work to accommodate housing growth, integrated transport and open
space with a focus on maintaining the liveability of our community.
- Assist with implementing work systems, practices
and processes that support responsive and flexible customer service, including
identifying improvement opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical
advice to stakeholders.
- Assist the review, development and
implementation of projects, policies, strategies and guidelines that support
the delivery of integrated transport, open space, and sustainable use and
development of land in Manningham.

About You
You
have completed a tertiary degree inTown Planning,
Strategic Planning, Urban Planning, Transport Planning or other relevant field
within the last 2 years.
- You
are seeking an entry-level pathway into the workforce, looking to create a
foundation for a career in strategic planning.
- You are a problem
solver with excellent analytical skills and the ability to think
strategically and develop innovative design solutions.
- You have excellent
written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to
prepare clear and concise reports with high level attention to detail.
You possess excellent
interpersonal skills to respond to challenging situations effectively and
appropriately, with the ability to successfully negotiate and achieve positive
planning outcomes.
You have well developed organisational skills to plan, prioritise and
organise work to meet performance objectives and targets.
You are a team player
with a willingness to contribute and collaborate well with others.
Hold a Driver’s licence valid in Victoria
(preferable)
