About the position:
The City is committed to creating vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive community spaces, with well-maintained facilities at their core. We are seeking a forward-thinking leader to join our Property Services team as Coordinator Facilities Management.
In this pivotal role, you will lead a team to manage the full lifecycle of the City’s building assets, driving strategic planning, maintenance and renewal to ensure long-term sustainability. You’ll oversee projects, budgets, and service delivery while fostering strong stakeholder relationships and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities:
- Lead and develop team members, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and community groups to ensure high service standards.
- Develop, implement and review the building asset management plan to guide annual and long-term capital works.
- Oversee inspections, maintenance, and renewals of building assets aligned with the developed asset management plan, City policies and safety legislation.
- Coordinate design, scope and delivery of minor refurbishment projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
- Manage service delivery contracts to ensure operational and public facilities meet agreed standards.
- Monitor and manage budgets informed by strategic planning and maintenance priorities, recommending adjustments as required.

Position requirements:
The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree in Building, Construction, Asset Management and/or Project Management with relevant experience, or a lesser qualification with significant experience. Additionally, extensive leadership experience along with knowledge of WHS practices, facilities management and building maintenance principles and statutory regulations are all requirements of this position.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary ranging from $126,622 to $135,470 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
