About the position:
The City is seeking an organised and proactive person to join the Regulatory Services branch in providing effective and efficient administration and customer service to the community.
The Business Support Officer role provides a high standard of administrative support to the four business units within the Regulatory Services branch which includes Rangers, Environmental Health Emergency Management and Development integrity, allowing effective coordination of duties to ensure compliance with relevant local laws and legislation.
The position is responsible for providing high quality customer service to the community as well as internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent of this role ensures a professional work environment and strives to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area and across the organisation.
Key accountabilities:
- Provide all necessary administrative support to the Regulatory Services teams in all key functional including but not limited to records management, infringement notices, financial administration, registrations, licencing, statistical data entry and meeting administration.
- Proactively enhance the knowledge of customers in relation to the services provided by Regulatory Services and provide customers with the skills and abilities to find critical information in order for them to self-serve if they so choose.
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of guidelines, policies and procedures.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will have previous experience in general administration and business support duties, including dealing with customer enquiries and data entry. High attention to details skills are required, along with demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary ranging from $76,072 per annum to $86,882 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
