ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
The Plant Operator Specialist (backhoe) plays a key role within the Concrete Construction and Drainage Team, operating plant with a focus on backhoe specialisation to deliver engineering works in line with Council policies, procedures, and work program objectives.
This position undertakes complex plant operations while complying with safety, environmental, risk, and quality management systems. The role also includes a range of associated labouring duties across civil maintenance activities such as concreting, pothole repairs, drainage works, and maintenance of roads, footpaths and related infrastructure.
To be successful you will bring

- Demonstrated high level competence in the operation of a backhoe in a civil construction and maintenance working environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience in civil construction duties associated with roads and roadsides.
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission.

- A salary range of $61,300 to $70,300 per annum (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
