Regional Coordinator - Youth Services, working
50 hours a Fortnight. This is your chance to make a real difference for young people in remote First Nations communities while enjoying the flexibility to balance work and life. You'll lead culturally responsive, restorative case management for youth referred through formal diversion programs—impactful work that matters, without sacrificing your personal time.
What you'll do: - Deliver high-quality case management for young people aged 10-17 under the Youth Justice Act.
- Coordinate Youth Diversion referrals across the indigenous communities in Yirrkala, Gunyangara and Galiwin'ku as well as Nhulunbuy.
- Support early intervention and proactive engagement for at-risk youth.
- Work collaboratively with NT Police, Corrections, and community stakeholders to facilitate restorative Youth Justice Conferences.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards.
What we're looking for: - Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services (or equivalent).
- Experience in youth work, ideally in remote First Nations' communities.
- Knowledge of restorative and trauma-informed practices.
- Flexibility and ability to regularly travel, including staying multiple nights in remote communities
- Good understanding of Australian First Nations peoples, their cultures, and community needs.
- Strong communication, cultural competency, and organisational skills.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
What You'll Receive - Salary is paid pro rata at $47.26 per hour
- 6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata) with 17.5% leave loading
- Annual pay increases under the Enterprise Agreement
