Join our Community Services Team as a casual
Active Communities Relief Coordinator, supporting vibrant and culturally connected programs across East Arnhem communities. This role delivers meaningful activities that strengthen wellbeing, cultural identity, and community engagement. What you’ll do: - Provide interim coordination of Active Communities programs in key communities.
- Facilitate the short‑term delivery of activities to support participants’ connection to body, mind, kinship and culture.
- Deliver meaningful, supervised after-school hours and or school holiday activities during your relief engagement.
- Support the delivery of key community events and external provider visits.
- Support Indigenous identified Active Communities Workers using a strengths‑based approach.
- Complete daily reporting cleaning, and general administrative duties.
What we’re looking for: - Ability to work flexible hours on short‑term engagements across multiple remote communities.
- Experience in youth work, community development, sport and recreation, events management, or related fields.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to live, work, and thrive in complex cross‑cultural environments.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and navigate challenging situations.
- Strong cross-cultural awareness, respect, and understanding of First Nations people and their history.
- Current C Class licence and valid (or willingness to obtain) First Aid/CPR, Food Safety certification, Criminal History Check and Ochre Card.
