Plant Operator Open Spaces CBD
Permanent Full-time
38 hours a week + Rostered day off every fortnight
Additional allowances may be applicable as per the Award
Salary ranging from $65,281.84 - $75,868.52 + 12% Superannuation per annum.

What you'll do
As our Plant Operator, you will report to the Team Leader Open Spaces CBD and deliver high quality open space maintenance through the safe and efficient operation of plant, machinery and equipment including street sweepers, garbage trucks, trucks and trailers.
You will contribute to the presentation and amenity of Council's parks, reserves, sports grounds and roadside areas, CBD and infrastructure assets ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Council's service standards and procedures.

What you need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of medium to large mowing and open space maintenance plant and equipment
- Proven ability to follow work schedules and operate effectively within a team environment.
- Basic competency in using mobile devices and digital job management systems.
- Sound understanding of safe work practices, risk management and WHS obligations.
- Effective communication skills with team members and the public
- Current MR Driver's Licence and White Card
Other Requirements
- A complete immunisation record of Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus or willingness to obtain (at Councils expense) prior to commencement.
- Participate in on-call roster and overtime (where applicable)
- Complete a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
