You are an experienced Centre Director who brings both strong pedagogical knowledge and proven leadership capability. You build trust, develop your team, and maintain high standards to ensure consistent, quality practice across your service.
About the Role
As Centre Director, you will lead the overall operations and performance of a high-quality early learning service. This role requires aBachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)who brings both deep pedagogical knowledge and the leadership capability to drive excellence across all aspects of the service.
You will confidently lead your team, set clear expectations, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Your expertise as an ECT will underpin the delivery of high-quality, play-based programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
You will also play a key role in creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child and family feels a strong sense of belonging.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach and develop a team of educators to achieve high standards of practice and performance
- Drive a strong, consistent educational program aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with families and the broader community
- Ensure all regulatory, compliance and child safety requirements are consistently met
- Oversee centre operations, including staffing, occupancy, and financial performance
- Embed a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Create an inclusive, respectful environment that supports every child’s development
What We’re Looking For
You are a confident and capable leader who leads by example and brings out the best in others.
You will have:
- A Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
- Current NESA Early Childhood Teacher accreditation
- Current First Aid, Child Protection training and Working With Children Check
- Proven leadership experience in early childhood settings
- Strong working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and relevant legislation
- The ability to lead, influence and build capability within a team
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine commitment to child safety, inclusion and high-quality outcomes

- Package:$107,476 - $119,782 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work:Permanent Full Time.You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
