Salary: Commencement hourly rate $38.1303 (inclusive of casual loading). Penalty rates for any weekend work (Grade 5) plus superannuation.

About the Role
The Casual Animal Attendant is responsible for providing and contributing to the physical and mental wellbeing of the animals at the facility, ensuring high standards of animal welfare are adhered to, whilst meeting legislative requirements and best practice guidelines.
Duties will include:
- Clean and maintain the Pound & Rehoming Centre
- Exercise and feed animals
- Report any unwell animals or changes in animal’s behaviour
- Clean and sanitise each enclosure and change bedding if required
- Restock food and litter
- Prepare specialty dietary animal food
- Administer medication to animals according to instructions
- Perform light administration duties
The successful applicant will requirea current Australian driver licence and a current first aid certificate. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
The successful applicant will require good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised during the week and /or during weekends and public holidays when required.
