Your new role
As the secretariat officer, you will support the Assistant Director of Governance and Risk in undertaking complex and sensitive work that spans all areas of the agency. You will play a key role in coordinating governance processes, managing secretariat functions, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing secretariat support to the Audit & Risk Committee and other governance bodies.
- Coordinating and managing governance processes and documentation.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of the enterprise risk management framework.
- Supporting the evaluation and revision of business processes and reporting mechanisms.
- Assisting in the management of the internal audit program and external audit activities.
- Providing advice and guidance on governance and risk management best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organisational policies.
- Facilitating effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
In addition to the below, this role requires Australian Citizenship to apply.
- Experience in governance or secretariat functions are required.
- Experience in quality assurance, risk and internal audit are welcomed.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated cultural capability, including engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in a sensitive and equitable manner.
- Individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait islander are strongly encouraged to apply.
