About the Team
The Customer Compliance Performance team is undergoing significant transformation, creating exciting new opportunities to join at a pivotal time, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact. This team provides specialist compliance expertise to the Customer Business Unit, supporting effective compliance management and ensuring EnergyAustralia’s regulatory obligations, governance systems, processes, and frameworks meet both industry standards and customer expectations. About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Compliance Performance Team, as a Incident Investigation and Remediation Lead. In this role, you will support the effective management of compliance incidents across their full lifecycle - investigation, root cause analysis, data validation, remediation, and prevention. The role aims to ensure compliance incidents and breaches are completely understood and appropriately remediated, while driving continuous improvement to strengthen compliance outcomes across the Customer Business Unit. Other aspects of the role include:
- Facilitate a best-practice approach for managing compliance incidents and breaches across the full lifecycle
- Lead the investigation of complex, cross-functional compliance incidents within the Business Unit
- Ensuring structured analysis and clear findings are captured, validated and documented in appropriate systems as per the Incident Management Process
- Support Business Unit leaders to conduct comprehensive root cause analysis processes by coordinating stakeholder inputs, gathering evidence, validating outputs and documenting in appropriate systems
- Support Business Unit Leaders to develop effective remediation plans that address direct and contributing causes, ensuring that these are completed in accordance with the Incident Management Process
- Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of fit for purpose compliance incident management frameworks
- Preparation and coordination of internal reporting for Compliance and Risk forums, Customer leadership team and Executive forums
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar operational incident, breach and investigation role, with a strong understanding of incident management frameworks and handling of regulatory obligations. Other things we’re keen on include:
- Skilled in leading investigations, gathering evidence and documenting findings clearly and objectively
- Analytical mindset, with a strong ability to solve complex problems
- Solid knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards
- Adaptable and proactive, ready to tackle challenges in a dynamic setting
- Organised and detail focussed with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with the ability to coach & uplift knowledge of compliance across various stakeholders, including senior leaders
