Fleet Controller – Welshpool, WA
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Controller to join our team on an 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet management and logistics.
As the Fleet Controller, you will:
Ensure every employee/subcontractor hands in paperwork complete and in full at the end of each shift, check paperwork while employee/subbie waits and ensure is accurately completed, rectify if necessary.
Allocate jobs in system and ensure all job information entered/corrected where necessary as jobs are handed out to drivers.
Double check details of jobs entered to ensure full and accurate information, correct if necessary.
Ensure jobs are logged correctly in TMS, amend where necessary to ensure legs reflect physical travel path of goods.
Ensure all designated freight is loaded and despatched within the agreed time frames, e.g. sequence delivered.
Be aware of and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and legislation governing industrial matters, OHS & E, dangerous goods, Trade Practices and environmental protection and any other aspect of the role.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience in logistics & transport.
Sound knowledge of freight handling, PUD and linehaul fleets.
Sound knowledge of DG and non-DG freight handling, products, and legislation, where applicable.
Intermediate computer software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint) Transport Management Systems exposure and experience.
Operational transport experience, knowledge and ability.
Proven problem-solving ability with a solution orientation.
