This is a full-time 12-month contract, located in Parkes. Starting base annual salary of $91,297 plus super, plus access to generous salary packaging options.

About the opportunity:
Uniting is launching an exciting new Recovery Support Service (RSS) across Western NSW, designed to support communities impacted by the 2022 Eugowra floods. As part of this important initiative, we're looking for four passionate Case Workers to join our team. This is your chance to be part of something meaningful from day one – helping individuals and families navigate their recovery journey, connect to vital supports, and build stronger futures.
As an RSS Case Worker, you'll provide short-term, flexible, and trauma-informed case work to flood-affected individuals and families, many of whom may be in temporary accommodation or experiencing ongoing challenges.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Manage a caseload of up to 60 clients
- Provide tiered support, including triage, assessment, short-term case planning, referrals, and community connections
- Collaborate closely with local services and stakeholders to ensure people get the help they need
- Work in the places that matter – including recovery centres, homes, and community hubs – always led by the needs of the people you're supporting
- Help shape a new service through your input and community insights
Your Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Community Services or related
- 2+ years’ experience working in community services, including with vulnerable or trauma affected populations.
- Strong understanding of child protection and culturally responsive practice
- Skills in flexible outreach and short-term case coordination
- A current NSW driver’s licence and current NSW WWCC
