Be part of Council’s most significant technology transformation to date — the Technology Blueprint, a multi-year initiative currently modernising Council’s entire digital ecosystem.
As a Technology Infrastructure Specialist, you’ll provide expert-level support and technical guidance across Council’s evolving technology landscape. This Level 3 role is central to maintaining, enhancing, and securing a broad range of systems — from on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms to operational technology and communications.
Your work will span proactive monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure projects, ensuring the performance, continuity, and resilience of Council’s digital services.
We’re seeking a technically strong IT professional with broad experience in infrastructure management and systems administration. You’ll bring sharp attention to detail, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the capability to support and maintain complex environments across both cloud and on-premises technologies.
The Technology Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for:
- Providing Level 3 support across Council’s server, network, cloud, and end-user environments
- Administering core platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, backup systems, and cybersecurity tools
- Monitoring and maintaining performance and availability across infrastructure and operational technology systems
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues to ensure system stability and continuity of service
- Installing and maintaining physical infrastructure, including communications and operational technology hardware, in line with safety standards
- Contributing to infrastructure projects, scheduled after-hours work, and the delivery of Council’s IT Managed Services Program
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Degree in Information Technology or similar equivalent relevant experience

Salary range: Grade 16 - $104,742.01 - $113,338.54 per annum including 12% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
