We are seeking an experienced and professional Community Development Support Officer with a passion for administration.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Assist in the delivery and promotion of programs, activities and events of the Community Development team, including youth community and civic event support where required.
- Guide public event organisers and coordinate internal requirements for Public Event Applications to ensure timely submission of high-quality applications.
- Undertake administrative requirements for (and participate in) the positive promotion and publicity of Community Development functions including managing customer enquiries via the Customer Records Management (CRM) system.
- In conjunction with Community Development Officers, coordinate administrative tasks relevant to Advisory Groups, Working Groups, Forums and other stakeholder meetings, including the coordination of agendas, minute taking and liaising with speakers.
- Provide administrative support, where required, for community grants programs, funding and event applications, in conjunction with Community Development Officers.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- Strong administrative, time management and organisational skills in a Community Development context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
- Commitment to customer service and sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, social media management, booking registration software and website functionality.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills across broad range of demographics.
