JOB DESCRIPTION
The Contracts Lead with assist the Manager and lead in developing strategies and establishing strategic and operational contracts and supply management strategies that minimise risk and achieve best value to meet business objective.
The role will develop, maintain and apply a Contract Management Framework and system for all Council contracts, and to exercise the management of Council contracts within this framework.
The position reports to the Manager Strategic Procurement and Contracts and is fast paced with a dynamic work environment which positively contributes to our people and community.
ABOUT YOU
The desired candidate will be highly motivated, and process-driven, with high attention to detail. You will have wide range of experience in managing high volume of priorities, including the execution and administration of contracts.
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to contracting, and/or relevant work experience in a contract management role.
- Hold a Class C Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated experience in providing contract advice and guidance to clients on contract processes.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective application of contract and procurement policies, practices, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (and associated regulations) and its application to procurement and contract procedures and practices.
