A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for an outstanding individual to join our Technical Operations team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full-time position reporting to the Coordinator Technical Operations and working alongside a professional team of dedicated and like-minded individuals.
As our new Fleet Operations Officer, you will ensure the highest quality technical, administrative and efficient operation of the City’s mechanical workshop managing all aspects of plant, fleet and vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs. Using your refined interpersonal skills, you will provide leadership, direction and effective management of workshop staff. You will also oversee plant, fleet and equipment acquisition, disposal and maintenance.

What You’ll Need
To make an impact in this role, the successful candidate will have:
Possession of trade qualifications in motor mechanics or heavy-duty plant mechanics.
Relevant experience in fleet management with sound technical knowledge of vehicles, plant and equipment.
Experience in contract management and in preparing contract documentation and knowledge of procurement and disposal processes.
Knowledge of plant and equipment risk management and Work Health and Safety requirements.
Clearly demonstrated communication skills including providing high quality customer service, ability to conduct research, analyse data and write clear and concise reports and letters.
Well-developed computer literacy skills.
Current National Police Clearance, White Card – Safety Awareness, Provide First Aid certificate, driver’s licence.
MR/HR class driver’s licence is desirable.
