The primary purpose of the Delivery Director role is to lead, direct and coordinate the delivery and management of large capital work projects or programs of work. You will be leading delivery of a portfolio of critical infrastructure for Sydney Water, with clearly defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints.
The Delivery Director will work as part of a leadership team to source, leverage and lead the expertise and specialist technical resources required for the successful delivery of the project portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery teams and manage safe, timely and cost-effective delivery (from scope confirmation to commissioning and handover) of the Region’s optimised multi-year integrated works plan assigned to the regional delivery area.
- Effectively manage delivery team operational issues to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations, particularly in the areas of safety, environment, quality assurance, finance, governance, program management, procurement, vendor management, risk management and employee and contractor management.
- Assist in the development of the 5-year, rolling regional infrastructure portfolio of works and services.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree qualifications Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commerce or experience deemed equivalent within Project and Program Management.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of large and complex projects and /or programs of diverse infrastructure works, with an annual expenditure of up to $250 million and 5-year expenditure of over $1.0 billion.
- Experience managing medium to large scale project management team.
- Extensive leadership experience and a record of achievement in leading capital program delivery in a large and complex Construction/Infrastructure or utilities environment.
