This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward
thinking garden maintenance team within local government. Due to recent
internal promotions, two positions are now available highlighting the value

are a key part of life in Manningham. Recreation parks, sporting reserves,
natural areas and neighbourhood parks are of great importance to our community
and allow a wide range of opportunities for exercise, recreation and local
sports clubs.
About the role
In this role, you'll deliver a range of garden maintenance
services across the municipality’s parks and gardens, with a strong focus on
soft landscaping. You'll work to a structured program using the latest
technology, contributing to planting and landscape upgrades in parks, gardens,
and streetscapes.
Your day-to-day work will involve collaboration with various
departments and interaction with the public. You'll be supported by a dedicated
team including your colleagues, a Leading Hand, and a Team Leader – ensuring
you're set up for success.
Skills and experience
- You
are qualified and experienced in the maintenance of high-quality urban
landscapes.
- You
have a proven history in garden maintenance and the ability to organise
the resources required to complete a job effectively.
- You
have the ability to assess situations, arrive at appropriate work
solutions and show judgment as to when to contact/advise your Team Leader
or Leading Hand.
- Have
demonstrated knowledge and experience in the operation of plant and
equipment used in landscape maintenance.
- A
strong customer focus and excellent communicator.
