The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Community Facilities Team Leader to join our dynamic team at the City of Kwinana. Reporting to the Coordinator Community Facilities Planning, the successful candidate will lead our Community Facilities team in coordinating the day-to-day management and operations across built facilities, public spaces, shared use sites, and recreation spaces. You'll drive innovative solutions, enhance customer experiences and implement cross organisational initiatives and efficiencies that make a real difference to our community.

What You’ll Need
To make an impact as our new Community Facilities Team Leader, you will need the following:
- Relevant experience in booking operations, venue hire management, customer service administration, or similar customer-facing roles.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead high-performing customer service teams, with proven ability to set clear directions, empower staff and coach team members.
- A highly collaborative working style with exceptional relationship building and influencing skills suited to diverse venue hirers including community groups, schools, sporting clubs, commercial event organisers, and residents.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Capacity for systematic thinking with ability to analyse booking data, facility utilisation patterns, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- An understanding of financial processes related to venue hire including pricing structures, invoicing, payment processing, bond administration, and revenue reporting.
- An understanding of venue hire operations including booking procedures, hire agreements, event coordination requirements, insurance and compliance needs, and the operational requirements of diverse hireable spaces such as community halls, meeting rooms, sports facilities, and outdoor spaces.
- Tertiary qualification in business administration, customer service, event management, hospitality, facility management, or related field OR equivalent experience in booking operations, venue hire management, or customer service coordination.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry networking.
- Current Driver's Licence, Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to work flexible hours including after hours and weekends as venue hire operations require.
