Your Position: Stakeholder Engagement and Education
Officer
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and
delivering engagement and education strategies, managing stakeholder
communication, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements across City
Strategy projects. Success in the position requires strong communication and
project management skills, the ability to build effective relationships, and
relevant qualifications or professional experience in Communications,
Education, Adult Learning, Urban Planning or a related field.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -
- Producing an overarching City Strategy Engagement Strategy and leading delivery across
directorate projects.
- Establishing and managing an overarching City Strategy Education Program and implementing project specific plans and provide customer education.
- Delivering communications to support City Strategy Directorate business.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory engagement requirements and implementing public
participation activities for City Strategy business.
- Organising and delivering industry forums, stakeholder events and education programs
across all directorate functions.
To be successful in this role you will have: -
- Tertiary at degree level in Communications, Education, Adult Learning,
Urban Planning or equivalent qualification or professional experience.
- Ability
to communicate effectively and sensitively, whilst developing working
relationships with all stakeholders.
- Knowledge
and ability to develop and implement high quality and effective education
and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Excellent
written and oral communication skills.
- Ability
to represent Council in public forums in a professional and knowledgeable
manner.
- Good
research, analytical, time & project management skills.
- Availability
to work out of hours and on weekends as required.
Key Requirements:

- Willingness
to complete a National Criminal History Check
- Willingness
to complete a pre-employment health assessment
- Current NSW Driver's License
- A current and valid Working
with Children Check Clearance
