Whether you are an experienced or graduate teacher, Liverpool City Council is seeking passionate and dedicated, Early Childhood Teacher to provide leadership in the design, implementation and evaluation of high-quality inquiry based educational curriculums for children attending our services.
Liverpool City Council owns and operates six Early Education and Care Centres and two Preschools across our LGA. Our educators take pride in their profession with all services being rated as “Exceeding National Quality Standards” for several years. This role is key in leading the team and providing an environment centred around enquiry-based learning, where children can thrive in their most formative years.
ABOUT YOU
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will have a zest for creating curriculums, rituals, rhythms, and practices which allow children to learn through enquiry and investigation. You will have a love for quality resources, loose parts, and materials, allowing you to create inspiring provocations and exceptional learning environments.
You will have the capability to mentor and support educators in the delivery of educational curriculums, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies within the Early Childhood Education and Care environment. It is essential that you are a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher with NESA accreditation and have child protection training approved and recognised by ACECQA.
Council will consider applicants actively working towards their early childhood degree with a view to completion prior to December 2026. A first aid certificate is also essential. In addition, you will have detailed knowledge of child development and contemporary theories/approaches to early childhood education and care.
