What this role looks like:
• Undertake cleansing of Council’s CBD areas, station sites, carparks, footpaths, public amenities, bus shelters, street and park furniture and any other public areas as required.
• Carry out high pressure water cleaning of infrastructure in accordance with work schedules.
• Removal of minor graffiti and foreign substances from surfaces as directed by supervisor/coordinator.
• Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects.
• Operate small plant and specialised cleaning equipment.
• Report any vandalism and malfunction of building fixtures, fittings and services.
• Use of Council’s electronic works systems.
• Maintain work vehicle and all equipment in a clean and hygienic condition.
• Monitor stock of cleaning and consumable products to ensure continued operation of Council’s sites.
• Early Morning starts – Monday to Friday 4.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
What are we seeking in our new team member:
1. Drivers License (Class C) – NSW
2. Proven experience in cleaning, knowledge of methods and procedures including high pressure cleaning
3. Chemical Safety Awareness
