About the Role
The Coordinator Natural Environment & Resilience is responsible for leading a team of biodiversity, resilience, sustainability, and environmental specialists.
As the Coordinator you will develop and implement policies, strategies, management plans and risk assessments relating to the natural environment including natural hazards, changing climate, flood planning, estuary management, waterway health, biodiversity and contamination management.
You will play a key role in partnering with internal and external stakeholders in the management, improvement and condition monitoring of Council's natural assets including bushland, wetlands and waterways and work to improve community resilience and awareness of natural hazards, climate risks, and biodiversity conservation. In addition, you will also be responsible for natural resource management, community engagement, and education relating to the natural environment.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have degree qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Conservation, Natural Resource Management or a related field.
You will have Knowledge and experience in a range of natural resource management issues relevant to the role including flood, estuary and biodiversity management, climate change adaptation, green and blue grid initiatives.
As a core part of the Environment & Sustainability leadership team, you will bring with you your previous experience leading and coaching teams in the delivery of successful environment and resilience focussed outcomes.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This position attracts a salary range of $130,620 - $144,989 + 12% p.a. superannuation + private leaseback vehicle.
