Whoever joins us in this key Executive role has the comfort of knowing that WALGA is widely respected as the trusted partner of WA Local Government and that the Member Services Portfolio is in a strong position for someone to take the reins, build on the solid foundations and lead the Portfolio through its next important chapter.
The role
The Executive Manager Member Services will ensure that the Portfolio continues to be depended on for essential advice in employee relations, governance, local laws, procurement, tax and commercial services, trusted for its tailored training courses, and ensuring the seamless oversight of the sector’s LGIS Mutual Indemnity Scheme.
Having our Members best interests at heart is key, continually striving to anticipate Member needs and deliver innovative, scalable, future ready services.
You’ll intrinsically engender high performance and an ethos of continuous improvement, whether through an effective and expanded preferred supplier panel, diverse training courses, additional advisory services or new Member driven projects.

The Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) is an independent, Member-based, not-for-profit organisation representing and supporting the WA Local Government sector.
Our membership includes all 139 Local Governments in the State. WALGA uses its influence, support and expertise to deliver better outcomes for WA Local Governments and their communities. We do this through effective advocacy to all levels of Government on behalf of our Members, and by the provision of expert advice, services and support to Local Governments.
