- Salary $81,384.68 to $94,405.48 p/a + super
- Permanent full time role, 38 hours per week (rostered day off) Working on a rotational roster basis which includes weekend work and emergency call out

About the role
As an Area Ranger, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with local laws, managing public safety, and protecting our natural and community assets.
You will be the face of the council out in the field, engaging with residents, monitoring parks and reserves, and supporting community wellbeing.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Enforce council regulations and relevant legislation within designated areas
- Patrol parks, reserves, and public spaces to ensure safety and compliance
- Respond to community enquiries and concerns professionally and promptly
- Investigate complaints related to animal control, parking, and environmental issues
- Assist with community education programs and events
- Collaborate with other council departments and external agencies
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Local Government Governance, Customer Service, Administration, or relevant tertiary studies; or demonstrated extensive relevant experience
- Eligibility to independently obtain NSW Work Cover White Card
- Valid NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
- General knowledge of local government functions and regulatory services
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
